1) волнистость контура (краёв) [изображения, объекта]
2) волновой эффект
а) визуальный спецэффект, добавляемый в обычную фотографию водной поверхности, - чтобы на экране появлялись анимированные волны
б) эффект, похожий на так называемую шторку (
см. тж. reveal, wipe), - когда изображение, представленное вначале в формате серой шкалы (grayscale form, grayscale image), постепенно открывается в полноцветном варианте
